Advik Bommineni — Hyderabad, India

Building software systems that solve operational bottlenecks.

Pharmaceutical manufacturers quote on spreadsheets. Investors reconcile portfolios by hand. Retailers count stock on paper. I build the platform that replaces all of it — one industry at a time.

The method

Find the bottleneck. Build the system that removes it.

Problem
Contract manufacturers quote entirely on spreadsheets — someone looks up the chemistry by hand, estimates reactor costs by feel, and emails back and forth for days. Because costing is estimated rather than derived, nobody can tell afterwards whether the batch that shipped matched the batch that was quoted.
Built
Costing generated stage-by-stage from the actual synthesis route, on a data model spanning the full lifecycle — proposals, R&D tech transfer, manufacturing, quality, supply chain — so a quote and the batch fulfilling it stay connected. Past chemistry is searchable by molecular structure, not compound name.

Problem
Discovering a fund, investing in it, and tracking what you own happen in three separate places. Investors reconcile by hand across statements and brokers — and still can't see their true position. Fragmentation doesn't just cause friction, it produces wrong numbers.

Founder · AI-native billing and inventory automation for retail
Next.jsSupabaseAI automation
Problem
Retailers run billing on one system and stock on another — or on paper. Counts drift from reality within weeks, so reordering becomes guesswork and margin leaks invisibly. For a retailer, inventory accuracy is working capital.
Built
Billing and inventory as one system, so every sale updates stock truthfully and reordering follows real movement rather than manual counts.

Founder & CEO · Web and e-commerce studio for small businesses
Next.jsVercelE-commerceBranding
Problem
Small businesses are priced out of a credible digital presence — agencies quote enterprise rates, templates leave them looking like everyone else. For a micro-enterprise the website often is the storefront.
Role
I run delivery, client relationships and a team of four — moving toward a repeatable model so each build costs less than the last.

Vikranti Foundation

Mar 2023 →
Founder & President · Government-registered NGO — cancer support and food security
Why
It started from something ordinary — struggling to find affordable, reliable nutrition for myself, and realising how much harder that problem is for people with fewer options.
Built
A registered organisation running recurring programmes rather than one-off drives — sustained partnerships, monthly delivery, verified hospital channels.

DRSMUN 2025 — the largest Model UN in the school's history
Problem
The conference had plateaued — modest participation, no sponsorship engine, finances rebuilt from scratch every year. An event that can't fund itself can't grow.
Did
Ran it as an operating business: 11 committees, outreach across 30+ schools, and a vendor negotiation model built to leave future editions financially self-sustaining. Directed a 35-member core team.

Head Boy

2025 – 26
DRS International School — student body of 700+
Role
Elected to represent 700+ students — the bridge between the student body and administration across academic and cultural life.
Changed
Directed a school waste-management system that saves 100 meals a week from landfill. Coordinated 5 major cross-department events. Founded the school's first Entrepreneurship Club — 25+ students, workshops on business modelling and paper-trading, plus an annual student marketplace.
Also held
Deputy Secretary-General, DRSMUN 2024 · President & Chief Advisor, Avinya Science Fair — 20-member team, ~70 science projects · Cultural Captain, DPS Secunderabad — team of 60

Volunteer Connect

Prototype
Solo build · Matching platform for NGOs and volunteers
ReactSupabasePostgresAuth & roles
Problem
Running Vikranti Foundation showed me the bottleneck from the inside: matching willing volunteers to the drives that actually needed them happened over WhatsApp forwards. People who signed up were never contacted; drives ran short-handed the same week.
Built
A two-sided platform — NGOs post drives with skills and slots, volunteers filter by cause, location and availability, and the system tracks who committed versus who turned up. Role-separated accounts with row-level access so an organisation only ever sees its own roster.
Status
Built and working end to end, never launched publicly. I stopped short of release rather than run a half-supported product on real volunteers. Counted here as engineering, not traction.

Student Wellness App

Prototype
Solo build · Check-in and support-routing tool for schools
ReactSupabaseData modelling
Problem
As Head Boy I sat between 700+ students and a counselling system nobody used, because using it meant walking into an office in front of everyone. The need was real and the intake path was the thing that was broken.
Built
A low-friction check-in — short private entries over time rather than one intimidating form — that surfaces sustained patterns to a counsellor instead of raw logs, so the student is reached before it escalates.
Status
Prototype only, never deployed. Handling student wellbeing data properly needs consent, retention and safeguarding decisions a school has to own — not something to ship unilaterally.
About

Not a CS student. An operator who ships.

I'm 18, and I've been building software for industries most people my age haven't heard of — pharmaceutical contract manufacturing, mutual fund infrastructure, retail inventory.

What I have isn't a degree. It's a habit: go into a business, find where the work actually breaks — the bottleneck, the duplicated effort, the number nobody trusts — and build the system that removes it. The domain changes; the method doesn't.

That started with a whiteboard my father mounted in my room while I was relearning how to walk after spina bifida surgery. It began as fitness targets, became the plan for an NGO, then a company. Every venture I run started as marker on that board.

From September 2026 I'm reading for a Bachelor of Management & Technology at Tetr College of Business — eight terms across seven countries — while continuing to run all of the above.
